After receiving a cancer diagnosis, 32-year-old Emma Jones, a semifinalist on Britain’s Got Talent, passed away.
In order to notify Jones’ passing, her family posted a note on Facebook.
I regret to inform you about Emma Jones’ passing. She was diagnosed with various organ cancer, and on Valentine’s Day, she passed away. It said, “The doctor believes it started as ovarian cancer and spread to other organs.”
During her first audition, the singer wowed both the judges and the audience with her rendition of Andrea Bocelli’s Ave Maria. Her performance has been seen over five million times on YouTube. The singer performed in the 2015 series of the ITV programme.
At the time, Jones was just 23 years old, and all four judges praised her and gave her a standing ovation.
David Walliams praised Jones for being honest about her anxiety, saying, “Emma, you should be confident.” Not many of us have the ability to sing like that.
Amanda Holden called it “gorgeous.”
Jones subsequently said, “It was the best day in my whole, entire life.”
During her performance of Sarah Brightman’s Pie Jesu in the semifinals, Jones spoke about her living circumstances in a VT.
“I am a single person.” In general, I dislike it; in fact, I detest it. I was not at all confident when I was younger. She said, “My first audition was really nerve-wracking.”
During the May 1 memorial service at Allonby’s Christ Church, John Hastings, a former partner of Jones, spoke on the outstanding performance.
As everyone else in Cumbria was, Hastings said, “I was touched and proud of her performance on Britain’s Got Talent when she overcome her shyness to impress the judges and audience. She shed a few tears, but I knew they were tears of joy.”
“It’s a great shame that we will never see her again, but we still have her performances online to cherish and fondly remember her by,” he said, according to The Sun.
