The teen admitted to being behind the fire at Stefen Brent’s office
Fans of Coronation Street have speculated that Jack Webster’s shocking admission that he was responsible for the fire at Stefen Brent’s business could have something to do with his recently discovered connection in Weatherfield.
Years after his son Corey was imprisoned for the murder of Abi Webster’s son Seb Franklin, Stefan, as viewers of the ITV soap opera, recently made his way back into her life.
The billionaire and Abi have been at odds for some time now, as the former attempted to halt the documentary that featured Corey as a football star while he was incarcerated. Stefan became enraged and sought retribution, which is why deepfake pornographic films of Abi have been making the rounds.
Later, Kevin stole a burner phone from Stefan’s office in order to get proof that he was the one responsible for the deepfakes. Stefan came to an agreement and agreed to pay to have the films taken down; however, he later withdrew when he realised it would cost £60k a year, leaving Abi and Kevin back at the beginning.
Kevin and Abi had to explain what had been happening and who they thought was behind it when they discovered Jack was being teased over the tapes during Monday night’s (July 29) excursion to Weatherfield.
Stefan abruptly called Kevin and asked to get together to end their conflict. But that was all part of Stefan’s plan; Jack answered the door to Stefan without thinking twice, letting him wait until his parents got home, while Kevin and Abi went to his office for their meeting.
Stefan was able to get Jack to go get milk so he could have some tea, and while he was alone himself, he went through the Webster family’s abandoned drawers. After Stefan didn’t come up, Abi and Kevin were perplexed when they got home. However, when Jack showed them that a man had phoned round, they discovered that Stefan had a plan to get rid of them and take back his phone.
Viewers of Corrie later witnessed PC Craig Tinker detain Kevin on suspicion of breaking and entering Stefan’s residence. Kevin informed his family at home that he had no option but to face the charges and that he would be appearing in court the following week to enter a plea. However, the episode finished with Abi, who had left, coming home to see Kevin reading the news of Stefan’s office building fire, for which she had little sympathy.
But fans discovered that Jack was actually the one responsible for the arson on Wednesday’s (July 31) episode of Corrie. He acknowledged that all he wanted to do was trash Stefan’s car, but Abi said that Stefan “may have died” since the fire had spread to the building while he was inside.
Despite being appalled by Jack’s admission, Kevin tried to protect his kid by confessing to the police. DS Lisa Swain rejected Kevin’s statement, and soon after Jack showed up at the station and made a complete admission, he was taken into custody.
Fans of Corrie were quick to draw attention to Jack and Hope Stape’s growing bond, since recent leaks indicate that Hope may consider taking a pill as her desire for her fellow adolescent intensifies. The @corriepodcast, also known as The Talk of the Street, stated: “Jack and Hope have been hanging out recently. Just saying. #justsaying #corrie.”
