In the midst of birthday festivities on set, Coronation Street legend Tina O’Brien spoke about the return of on-screen daughter Lucy Fallon.
After her birthday this past weekend, the Sarah Platt actress had a surprise party from her coworkers.
She stood with Ben Price, Jack P Shepherd, Julia Goulding, Helen Worth, and Sue Nicholls in a picture shared on her Instagram account after receiving a homemade birthday cake.
She captioned the picture, “Yesterday treated to a gorgeous surprise by my Platt fam.”
She did, however, see that a few individuals were missing right away.
Adding, “We’ll get a full one soon,” she mentioned Bethany Platt’s actress Lucy Fallon and Max Turner actor Paddy Bever.
Lucy departed Corrie in 2020 when her on-screen character Bethany ended her unhappy relationship with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and moved to London to begin a new work at a magazine.
Lucy participated in various intense stories throughout her five years on the cobbles, one of which was the villain Nathan Curtis grooming her.
On the Soap from the Box podcast, the actress outlined why she quit the programme and why her agency had urged her to do so.
I had worked on a tonne of incredible narratives there for five years, so I anticipated a little decline. I was aware that if I remained, I would be idle for about a year. That probably simply occurs. You can’t simply keep on getting storylines.
She will, however, be making a comeback after a three-year absence during which she has experienced many changes in her life, including the birth of her son Sonny Jude with her boyfriend, the footballer Ryan Ledson.
According to a source who spoke about Lucy’s comeback to the programme, “Lucy is one of soap operas’ most talented actresses and has won many awards for her potent portrayal of Bethany’s grooming storyline.”
Although everyone was sorry to see her depart, the door would always be open for someone of her quality and notoriety.
“Bosses” contacted her a few weeks earlier with the prospect of returning and informed her of all their plans for Bethany if she accepted.
