The actor has undoubtedly had a great career in theater; in 2011, only a year after leaving the ITV serial opera, he had an appearance on Dancing On Ice. In addition, Steven has acted in many short films since leaving Coronation Street, including Thick As Thieves, On The Market, and Casualty.

In a 2016 interview with Gaby Roslin on Lorraine, Steven expressed his eternal gratitude for the possibilities that playing Ashley offered to his career, saying, “I’ll always have a particular place in my heart for the many years I spent playing him. There are certain things you miss, but you may still use him in your occasional role-playing.”

After revealing that she was exhausted after training for her most recent stage performance, Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver received an overwhelming amount of support.

Sister Act: The Musical, which will tour the UK this year, is the actress’ replacement for the stage. She portrays Eileen Grimshaw in the ITV soap opera.

Fans couldn’t control their enthusiasm when they learned that Sue will be playing Mother Superior in a few locations.

The soap opera actress uploaded a behind-the-scenes photo of herself at work.

“Go get em, Sue,” said Sally Carman, an Abi Webster co-star on Corrie.

“Love your track suit Sue, where is it from, please, if you don’t mind?” inquired @mrs_cessford_.

A legitimate question!

This happens after the I’m A Celeb actress spoke about her experience with her hysterectomy—a medical operation in which the womb is removed—during an appearance on Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast.

Sue said, “I am better now,” in response to a question about how she was feeling. This year has been really bad for me. After a hysterectomy, things sort of went south—weird stuff that happened out of the blue.

I haven’t been on Corrie for about six or seven months because I was sick for a time, which is incredibly unusual. However, they have been amazing and so helpful, and tomorrow I will be returning to work.

“I was already post-menopausal, but it has impacted in certain ways that I didn’t expect,” Sue said. “It’s been a challenging six months,” she said. “I went and found myself in A&E, and then an intensive care and that really took over.”
