EMMERDALE actress Lisa Riley has been inundated with support after sharing an emotional and personal announcement online.
The star, known for her role as Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap, confirmed that she would be among many famous faces paying tribute to Strictly Come Dancing star Robin Windsor following his passing earlier this year.
Robin was found dead in February in a hotel room at the age of 44.
Lisa was paired with Robin on the BBC dancing contest in 2012 and the two remained good friends until he died.
In order to celebrate his life and career, Lisa will be involved in the special one-off show, Celebrating Robin Windsor: The Final Act.
She has been confirmed to be co-hosting the evening alongside fellow Strictly face and current judge Anton Du Beke.
Announcing the special West End performance, Lisa said on Instagram: “So so so proud to be hosting this INCREDIBLE night of talent….with @mrantondubeke.
“A live show at THEATRE ROYAL DRURY LANE, in Londons WEST-END….a night dedicated to my best friend @robinwindsor my for always angel…”
Other faces set to appear during the show are Robin’s fellow Strictly pro’s Pasha Kovalev, Joanne Clifton and Vincent Simone as well as another of his former celeb partner’s, Deborah Meaden.
Lisa was left floored when Robin passed away earlier this year and her fans raced to offer up their support after she made her latest announcement.
Taking to the comments section, one fan penned: “What an amazing tribute and I know that you’ll present this as wonderfully as you did his eulogy.”
Fellow actor Beth Cordingly added: “How Wonderful, Lise. That’s fabulous. You’ll do him proud.”
A third fan added: “This is a beautiful tribute to your amazing friend.”
Whilst another went on to pen: “What a beautiful tribute to Robin.”
The event is set to take place in November of this year.
