Reiss and Sonia are getting married

After Sonia Fowler accepted conman and murderer Reiss Colwell’s proposal last night, EastEnders fans called her a “idiot.” She might not have known that Reiss killed Debbie, his unconscious wife, but she appeared to accept all of his other transgressions.

The public disclosure that he had been depleting Debbie’s care fund (using funds from her parents) in order to pay for Sonia’s IVF procedures was one of them, as was the information that he owed Phil Mitchell money following his deception of Sharon and Phil out of their money.

Reiss pops the question

Joking about their predicament, Sonia unintentionally asked Reiss to marry her, and she accepted with pleasure. He then made things official by getting down on one knee himself later that day.


And despite all of Reiss’s transgressions, Sonia readily accepted his proposal of marriage. And soap opera viewers did not miss her seeming folly.

EastEnders fans blast ‘idiot’ Sonia as she accepts Reiss proposal

Fans responded to Reiss’s proposal on X as soon as the program aired. Furthermore, there wasn’t much empathy for Sonia.

Is Sonia a fool? Reiss is a liar. Or did she fail to remember that he had defrauded Phil and Sharon of $13.5K? questioned a sceptical spectator.

“Woww With Reiss, Sonia is starting to believe she’s in a different universe,” she said.
