General Hospital Spoilers August 7: Portia Holds Onto Hope

Does this have to do with Laura and Heather?

Spoilers for Wednesday, August 7’s episode of General Hospital centre on loyalty, optimism, and worry.

Hope

This summer, Portia has been preoccupied with making sure Heather (Alley Mills) stays behind bars as long as she can. Ultimately, Trina (Tabyana Ali) was the target of the lady, who did it in Esme’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) name. Furthermore, such is not acceptable nor excused. She believes that a hip replacement poisoned by cobalt does not justify any of her behaviour. She even acknowledged to Curtis (Donnell Turner) that she would try to have Laura (Genie Francis) removed from her mayoralty at one time. Everything to keep Heather confined.

Since that revelation, Portia (Brook Kerr) hasn’t said anything to us. However, the excellent doctor is optimistic for Wednesday. Is she hoping to keep Heather from becoming liberated or to force Laura to resign from her position? Or is she feeling hopeful for other reasons?

Loyalty

Next, Trina reaffirms her allegiance. The fascinating thing about this is who she says she is still devoted to. Are we going to see a mother-daughter moment after all? Does she support her mother Heather’s agenda in light of the oath of loyalty? Or does she show her allegiance to her buddy and another local mother figure? Ava really needs some buddies. Does Trina support Maura West’s Ava?

Jason (Steve Burton) does a second act of loyalty by running to the hospital. He is aware that Sonny (Maurice Benard) is experiencing the greatest nightmare a father could have. Even though their friendship is strained these days, Jason probably feels obligated to support his former friend. Jason is standing directly next to Sonny in GH’s weekly video. Does this imply that Sonny will consent to Jason’s comfort? Are these two getting any closer to making up?

Concern

Regarding Ava, she’s having issues. Initially, Anna (Finola Hughes) detained her as she could have said lies to the police. Teasers imply Ava has further reason to be concerned. Does Ava learn that the baby was lost by Kristina (Kate Mansi)? Since that is undoubtedly concerning. The fact that Kristina is close to death and the baby has passed away really raises the stakes significantly.

Finally, Carly (Laura Wright) receives a confidant from Josslyn (Eden McCoy). To her mother, what does she say? Does she explain to her how she leapt into the Metro Court Pool to assist Kristina? Does she acknowledge how she felt in this critical situation? Does she discuss what transpired with Dex (Evan Hofer) afterwards, or not?
