The Dimples of Port Charles, also known as Sonny from General Hospital (Maurice Benard), have been struggling for months as one hurricane after another hits them.

First, he learned that Drew (Cameron Mathison) was sentenced to prison as a consequence of the FCC’s investigation into Carly (Laura Wright) and Nina (Cynthia Watros). After that, the kingpin and Pikeman got into a deadly conflict, and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) was caught in the middle of that fight and almost died as a result. Sonny is now fighting for custody with Ava (Maura West) and John Cates (Adam J. Harrington), who wants to put him under arrest. Meanwhile, Sonny is left to watch as Kristina (Kate Mansi) battles for her life in a hospital bed.

The fact that Sonny has been handling all of this stress without taking the right bipolar medication exacerbates his condition. At first, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) ensured that Sonny was taking his medication at a reduced dosage; but, as of late, Ava has completely replaced Sonny’s medication with placebos. Sonny’s conduct has been more unpredictable and explosive in the absence of the right care, and as a result, he has alienated almost everyone who matters in his life.

In the General Hospital episode that airs on August 5, Sonny visits the hospital’s roof because he feels alone and his life is in turmoil. Sonny was overcome with remorse and seemed to want to end everything after being held responsible by Molly (Kristen Vaganos) for Kristina’s death and hospital bed stay. But before he takes any reckless action—as seen in the next episode teaser—someone appears.

Viewers aren’t able to see Sonny’s conversation partner in the footage, but we think it’s Morgan (Bryan Craig). It made sense for Morgan to emerge as a ghost and talk to Sonny on the August 6 episode of General Hospital, as it was revealed at the end of June that Craig would be returning for a one-episode run. especially in light of the fact that Sonny states, “You’re not here, you’re just my imagination,” in the video.

It should be noted that when Craig’s reappearance was revealed, we believed he was helping Sonny or Ava by pretending to be a ghost or having a hallucination. Given Sonny’s current situation, it appears that Morgan has returned to support Sonny. Above all, we think Morgan will stop Sonny from killing himself. However, it’s also feasible that Morgan will put pressure on Sonny to stop excluding Carly, Jason (Steve Burton), and Michael (Chad Duell), since he needs them and they have always been the most dependable people in his life.

To make matters even better, we genuinely hope that Morgan can persuade his father to get treatment for his bipolar disease. It’s high time the patriarch of Corinth begins to take charge of his mental state once more. Not for nothing, but we’ve been anticipating with bated breath for the moment when Sonny or Carly discovers what Ava did with Sonny’s prescription drugs. That will undoubtedly set off a chain reaction, and if someone doesn’t intervene to save Ava, she could finally receive what’s coming to her.
