To say Abi Webster (Sally Carman) has been through a lot in recent weeks on Coronation Street is a little bit of an understatement.

Abi was listening to the radio one boring day at home when she heard the announcer discussing a programme about a jail football squad that included Corey Brent, the young man who murdered her son Seb.

After Abi tried to stop the production firm from showing the film, she then learned someone had been generating deepfake pornographic movies of her and posting them online.

Abi and Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) went to Max Turner (Paddy Bever) for aid, assuming they might discover the person guilty, but it was effectively the equivalent of hunting for a needle in a haystack.

Eventually, when Bethany (Lucy Fallon) disclosed more about her new position at a magazine outlet, Abi did more research and learned Corey’s father Stefan was connected not just in the magazine business but the production firm too.

Convinced Stefan was responsible for the deepfakes, Abi denounced him to DS Swain (Vicky Myers).

In forthcoming episodes of the ITV soap, Kevin informs Tyrone (Alan Halsall) that Stefan has agreed to destroy the footage.

However, he then approaches the mechanic and says the arrangement is off since he’s not prepared to spend £60k per year to remove them.

Towards the end of the week, feeling pressured and burdened, Abi reveals to Kevin that she has to be away for a few days and she’s going to stay with her twins and their adoptive mother Lynsey.

As Abi departs Weatherfield, Kevin tries his best to stay cheerful.

But what shape will their relationship be in when Abi returns?
