In forthcoming scenes from Coronation Street, Daisy Midgley (Charlotte Jordan) is going to ruin Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) journalism career.
Watchers of the ITV soap opera have seen a cash-strapped Bethany resort to unscrupulous means to get a scoop for the gossip publication Chit-Chat.
While secretly filming Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), Bethany interrogated her over Daisy’s relationship with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) and her deception of him by posing as Erin Austen’s Crystal Hyde.
Even though Rob Mallard’s character Daniel Osbourne begged her to take down the piece before it was out, Daisy decided it was too late and is now seeking retribution on the woman who “stole” her partner.
“After reading this article, Daisy’s initial assumptions about Bethany are confirmed, and all of her beliefs have been shown to be accurate.” Charlotte, an actress, stated.
“She believes she is a little snake who only cares about herself and doesn’t really care who she hurts along the way,” Daisy said, suggesting that maybe they are more alike than they realize.
Before learning about the piece, Daniel had persuaded Bethany to reconcile with Daisy, and the two had declared a ceasefire.
Daisy, however, takes the hasty decision to get in touch with the editor of Chit-Chat magazine to report her as the piece becomes viral online.
“I don’t believe she truly meant for her to be fired.” Charlotte gave an explanation.
“I believe Daisy merely wanted to try to exact some small amount of revenge and be as spiteful as she could be toward Bethany.”
After a heated argument over the incident—which Daniel views as unjust—Daisy returns home to discover a shocking surprise: Ryan has moved back to Weatherfield from his new life in Glasgow.
