With all of Lola Pearce’s loved ones anticipated to come, EastEnders will hold a large celebration of Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) life on the famous Square.

As fans are aware, Lola has months to live after being diagnosed with a deadly brain cancer last year. She has been making the most of her last time with her loved ones.

Since Ben and Billy Mitchell (Max Bowden and Perry Fenwick) arranged for cover for him at work so that he could spend quality time with his wife, Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) has been at her side at every turn and will do so in the next weeks.

It turns out that Lola has speech and movement impairments, but things change the following week when she vanishes during a karaoke party held in her honour and is subsequently found by Billy outside the gym.

Lola learns that her palliative chemotherapy treatment failed when she awakens later in the hospital with her family by her side.

Jay decides to take Lola out of the hospital so they may have a memorable day at the beach. Actors Danielle and Jamie have recently been seen shooting the relevant sequences on location in Margate.

However, the end is near as EastEnders has already begun shooting for Lola’s funeral and a cortege has been seen travelling to the studios.

Having seen images of what’s in store, the BBC One serial is also organising a significant celebration of Lola’s life in the Square that they have dubbed Lola-fest, complete with tonnes of balloons.

Walford’s best will gather to pay tribute to and remember their beloved Lola once she passes away, and there will undoubtedly be music and laughter.

This year’s Christmas will also be remembered by the people of Walford since a flash-forward to the holiday season revealed that a photo of Lola would be hanging on the Queen Vic’s bar.

Monday through Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, EastEnders airs.
