Coronation Street fans ‘obsessed’ by Eileen’s new look as she returns

Last night’s episode of Coronation Street gave fans a major surprise as Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) debuted a new appearance at the Rovers Return.

The character just made a brief appearance on screen after an extended absence, sporting brand-new hair.

She had switched from her earlier longer style to a chic, significantly shorter appearance, which absolutely surprised several observers.

The new hairdo first appeared on film when Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) was describing the hardships of his vacation to Italy with his cousin Isabella.

He admitted that he had pondered imitating the Canoe Man and pretending to die in order to get away.

Despite Brian’s compelling narration and subsequent acting as though everything was OK once Isabella arrived, viewers found it difficult to pay attention to what was going in the scene since Eileen’s new appearance was so distracting.

Fans shared their delight at the new hairdo on Twitter along with their love for it.

The actress Sue first debuted her new appearance on Instagram when she uploaded a picture of herself following a secret shoot, teasing that it was yet “to be confirmed.”

The actress opted for more casual white trainers to go with her chic pink suit and black top.

Sue participated in “I’m A Celebrity…” In order to participate, she was momentarily written out of Corrie in 2022’s Get Me Out Of Here.

Fans were overjoyed to find that she had renewed her contract, keeping her on the Cobbles for a while, when she shortly returned.
