In forthcoming episodes of Coronation Street, the narrative of Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance will take a shocking turn when the police arrest the adolescent for her murder. And Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is the one who’s been arrested.
It is unfathomable, indeed. Although Roy may seem like a strange man to some, Corrie viewers have known him for a very long time, and the polite café owner is most definitely not a killer. Sadly, the data seems to indicate otherwise.
When Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) discovered Roy in Lauren’s flat, seemingly looking through her belongings, his suspicions were aroused.
Bobby wasn’t persuaded by Roy’s justification that he was cleaning the flat so Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) wouldn’t be held accountable for its disarray.
The police think they might be dealing with a murder rather than merely a disappearance when they find bloodstains on Lauren’s flat curtains.
We know that after having to fire Lauren earlier, Roy was most likely the last person to see her in Weatherfield when he went to her flat to give her her pay plus a little additional money.
Bobby was the next to check on the flat and discovered Lauren missing. However, she appeared to have left quickly because a bacon sandwich was still on the coffee table.
Additionally, there were indications of a fight, which suggested Lauren had been ejected from the flat against her will.
In the past, Roy has tried his hardest to support the troubled teenager. Roy handled the situation with grace and kindness when she once offered to sleep with him in return for his kindness.
He is the subject of internet trolls in soon-to-air episodes after showing up in a plea to locate Lauren, who has gone missing.
Reluctantly showing Roy the offensive remarks, Carla (Alison King) and Nina (Mollie Gallagher) caution Roy against becoming involved when Max (Paddy Bever) wants to make another appeal with Suzi from the Gazette.
DS Swain (Vicky Myers) is the other guest at the cafe when Suzi arrives to record the appeal. Roy is being taken to the police station while Nina and Carla stare on in fear. She is there to arrest Roy for the murder of Lauren Bolton.
Soon after, a video of his arrest is made available online, and Carla begins to fear greatly for her friend’s future.
