Coronation Street spoilers: Carla’s murder campaign as police give dramatic chase

She’s determined (Picture: ITV)

In Coronation Street, Carla Connor (Alison King) is a woman on a mission as she frantically searches for sufficient proof to bring down Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce).

We are aware that Carla’s major objective is to make it known that Stephen LSD-drugged her. Carla learns from DS Swain (Vicky Myers) that despite the fact that she is aware that her suspicions are accurate, the police cannot really detain Stephen for the murder without conclusive evidence.

Carla’s attention then abruptly changes when she discovers some one-way tickets to Thailand on the officer printer and persuades Swain that Stephen poses a flight risk.

Carla then informs Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) that the police are looking into Stephen and begs her not to travel to Thailand with him since she may be running off with a murderer despite Swain’s desire that she keep it a secret.

Stephen returns to the cobblestones and informs the airline that he will be travelling tomorrow in place of today after a confrontation with Tim (Joe Duttine) that ends with Joe locking Tim in the trunk of his car and dousing it with gasoline.

Following Tim’s call to the police, Craig (Colson Smith) and Swain return to the canal and watch as their coworkers remove the roofbox containing Teddy’s body from the water.

DS Swain rushes to the airport to meet Stephen as the week draws to a conclusion after learning that he had moved forward his flight from Manchester to Bangkok.

Who will reach Stephen first when time runs out?

“I believe the audience will find it satisfying,” Todd Boyce commented on Stephen’s departure to Metro.co.uk. It’s hard to discuss without giving away too many details, but I believe the audience will be satisfied.

Even if they don’t watch every episode of Corrie, I hope those who know Stephen will start turning in now since this Super Soap Week is spectacular and unlike any other. It has thriller qualities.
