Coronation Street spoilers: Audrey’s life changes forever after a horrifying discovery

Audrey wants to know the truth! (Picture: ITV)

In Coronation Street, Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) is about to realize Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) is a murderous fraudster, completely shattering her view of him.

Soon after Stephen had returned to the cobbles, it was clear that Audrey saw him as something of a golden kid. Audrey saw no wrongdoing in Stephen.

In truth, although Audrey’s ignorance has made her happy, Stephen has been more concerned with robbing her of her money, killing three people, and giving Carla (Alison King) LSD.

Sadly, Audrey must accept the truth that her son isn’t the ideal gentleman she thought he was as Stephen’s collapse is upon us.

Carla is discussing the police investigation into her partner with Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) while Stephen makes arrangements to flee to Thailand.

Tim (Joe Duttine), who believes Stephen is concealing something, is back at the canal at another location. He dives into the water with an old boathook, only to see a corpse’s hand rise to the surface!

When Stephen enters the car and tries to strangle Tim with a tie, Tim’s attention is diverted. Tim manages to get back to his cab and phone the police to report a dead corpse.

Tim rushes outside, falls over his shoelaces, and Stephen then knocks him out.

Tim is fighting for his life as Stephen returns to the cobblestones and focuses on transferring Underworld’s money amount into a phony account he has set up.

The Platt family is considerably taken aback when Sarah (Tina O’Brien) informs them that Stephen has been cheating Audrey and drugging Carla.

Peter (Chris Gascoyne) attacks Stephen as he exits his apartment, but Audrey comes and sends Peter running.

When Audrey accuses Stephen of robbing her of her house, Stephen’s relief quickly turns to fear.

But what will Stephen say in return?
