Finally released, Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) shocking exposé of Daisy Midgley’s (Charlotte Jordan) infidelity and Ryan Connor’s (Ryan Prescott) catfishing exposes some heartbreaking home truths.

Since returning to Weatherfield on New Year’s Eve, Bethany had been desperate to acquire some money, so she had presented the story to the gossip magazine Chit-Chat.

She surreptitiously filmed everything the adolescent said to her regarding Daisy’s experience after the horrific acid assault on her wedding day to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) while speaking with Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).

After learning about the piece, Daniel gave Bethany instructions to remove it, but it was too late since it had already been published.

Bethany has been complimenting Daisy for the last week, knowing that she would be hurt when she reads the reveal.

Daisy had a glimpse of hope for a reunion with her ex-fiance in tonight’s (February 29) episode when he requested her to watch his son Bertie for a few hours.

As the Rovers employees readied themselves for Rita Tanner’s (Barbara Knox) 92nd birthday, Daisy raved about Daniel and a heartfelt moment they had shared earlier in the week to Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger).

To Daisy’s dismay, Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) inadvertently shared the piece with the regulars when it eventually surfaced.

She stormed over to the builder’s yard apartment and confronted Bethany, remembering how she had kissed Daniel during the last moments of his dying wife, Sinead (Katie McGlynn).

Sensing that Daniel despises her, she fled into town to indulge in alcohol consumption.

She will get vengeance on Bethany in the next moments, but what will she think when Ryan unexpectedly returns from Glasgow?
