In Coronation Street, businessman Owen (Ben Hull) is proving to be a pain in killer Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) side, and today, he irritated him even more.

Stephen made an effort to hide his anxiety when Carla Connor (Alison King) broke the news that she is selling Underworld in order to make life changes.

He was unimpressed to learn Owen was the buyer when Carla then reminded him that she already had one.

Carla gave Stephen instructions to create some papers that would outline the financial obligations he will be taking on for the new owner.

while Carla retorted that there are no skeletons in her pants, Owen joked that he wants to know where all the dead are buried while Stephen appeared reluctant.

If only they were aware of all this discussion about corpses!

In an effort to buy himself some more time, Stephen attempted a different strategy by inviting Owen for a drink.

After that, Owen kept himself busy by telling Stephen about his intentions and how Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) had impressed him.

Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien), Stephen’s niece, failed the test, and Stephen agreed to fire her because “business is business”!

However, it is obvious that Owen is starting to irritate Stephen, raising concerns that he may become the killer’s next victim.

One explanation is that he breaks his commitments to him and then says he’ll fire him when he takes control.

Given that Todd Boyce, who plays Stephen, has previously warned of impending death, we wouldn’t rule out Stephen taking action.

“I’m confident the viewers will likely believe Owen is in danger. Every time Stephen becomes angry, the viewers believe the person is going to die or should be on the lookout.

Owen is undoubtedly someone who he views as getting in the way.

Which means he needs to keep an eye on himself to prevent dying like previous guest characters Leo, Ted, and Rufus.

Todd told us, “He first attempts to talk sense into Owen and convince him he should retain him on.

“When Owen rejects Stephen, he realises that his only option is to convince Carla not to sell, but she tells him she needs to consider her mental health. Stephen is grasping at straws at this point.”

Ironically, he is the one who led Carla to believe that her mental health issues had returned, and now it has cost him everything and has left him in a precarious situation. It is a fantastic turn. What an own goal it was!

And it could ultimately result in his failure.

As he becomes increasingly desperate, Todd said, “We are going to see him start taking risks. His life is starting to unravel, and it will be interesting to see how he deals with the pressure.” He will inevitably start making blunders, which might be his downfall.
