In forthcoming Coronation Street episodes, Stu Carpenter’s (Bill Fellows) tranquil existence as the guardian of his granddaughter Eliza (Savannah Kunyo) is upset when Eliza discreetly contacts her father.

After Bridget (Beth Vyse), Eliza’s mother, was sentenced to jail for a murder that Stu had previously been falsely accused of committing, Eliza moved home with Stu. It took a lot of work by Alya (Sair Khan), Dee Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown), and Yasmeen (Shelley King), as well as a lot of encouragement from Yasmeen, to ultimately prove his innocence. He had even served time in jail for it.

Since then, he and Eliza have been cohabitating peacefully with Yasmeen and Alya, but it won’t be long until Eliza causes her grandfather some worry.

She tells Stu and Yasmeen that she is going to a vacation club, but when Stu learns that there isn’t one, he becomes concerned. After frantically searching the neighborhood for her, he eventually finds her at the station, where she is conversing with an unfamiliar man.

It turns out to be her father, but can she trust him? Eliza confides in Sam that she believes Bridget will attempt to prevent her from seeing her dad if Stu calls to let her know that her dad is back in her life.

Following the conversation with Bridget, Stu treats Eliza’s dad poorly, upsetting his granddaughter.

Stu apologizes for how he handled her dad but attempts to explain that he had his reasons since he doesn’t like to see Eliza sad. Eliza has other plans, contrary to what he expects would be the end of the affair.

When Yasmeen and Stu arrive home, Eliza is FaceTiming her father. Stu loses his cool because Eliza hasn’t listened to anything he’s said, and the two get into a heated dispute.

Could this cause Stu to lose Eliza?
