Coronation Street star Ruxandra Porojnicu’s life growing up in Romania and soap return

People were upset by the departure of Ruxandra Porojnicu’s character Alina Pop on Coronation Street and her romance with Tyrone Dobbs.

The new Weatherfield resident completely captured the attention of the local mechanic, so much so that he ended his marriage to Fiz, his longtime wife.

But Alina vanished from England and brought a secret with her when she went back to Romania.

Ruxandra is thirty years old, having been born on July 5, 1993.

She is originally from Bucharest, Romania, although she studied at a university in the US for a period.

She graduated from the Caragiale National University of Theatre and Film with a degree in acting and puppetry.

Ruxandra left Romania at the age of 22 to live in London, England.

Ruxandra has spoken about her experience of having to “start over” after relocating to the UK.

“I had to start over in the UK after receiving a degree in acting and puppetry from the University of Bucharest and some theatre credits,” whattowatch said.

“I worked at Pizza Express and attended acting lessons in London. Gradually, I began to take on additional work and modelling, often for free, in order to develop my portfolio.

“I joined with an agency; they had an acting section, but they catered mainly to commercials. It occurred rather quickly when I received an audition call for the role of Alina.

She went on, “Moving to London was intimidating at first, but I was raised with the American belief that anything is possible if you set your mind to it and work hard for it.”

“I was aware that London would provide me with money, experience, and a diverse social network.

“It was definitely worth it for me since there are so many options. Although I like my nation, there aren’t many possibilities there.

Return of Coronation Street

Ruxandra has been a cast member of the British adolescent comedy-drama television series Boarders as Yelena since leaving Corrie.

She’s been hinted about returning to Weatherfield as well. On the soap opera, her character was last seen departing for Romania at the airport.

After Tyrone discovered her at the Chariot Square Hotel, it happened. He pursued her because he thought she was carrying his kid. She clarified, however, that she had misread the dates and wasn’t really pregnant.

Later, when Alina was captured on video at the airport departures lounge, she was seen purchasing a tomato juice and gesturing to her tummy, which seemed to indicate that she was expecting.

Ruxandra was sighted by a Coronation Street fan outside the show’s Trafford, Greater Manchester, production facility. Rumour has it that Ruxandra will soon be making a comeback to our screens.
