In the most recent episodes of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street, murderer Stephen Reid has been feeling the heat as his terrible actions are finally coming back to haunt him.

It follows the discovery of a dead corpse on the construction site that Ed and Ronnie had purchased.

In the episode from Wednesday, Craig showed up at the bar to tell Jenny that the corpse was really that of Leo, her ex-boyfriend, whom she thought had left for Canada to start a new life apart from her.

Stephen consoled her in gruesome moments, but Jenny was well aware that he was the one who had killed him. After Craig left the bar, he informed Stephen that statements would have to be made, which led to Tim Metcalfe making a ground-breaking admission.

He testified that during Leo’s last moments, he struck Stephen in the face because of his affections for Jenny, just as Stephen was being led to the police station to give his account.

However, he seemed to escape punishment once again, even though his murderous rampage followed him home, causing him to have memories of his three killings.

Teddy, his second victim, played about with a brand, not realising he was being watched, so Stephen, unable to sleep, made his way down to the canal where he had tried to conceal him in a roof box in the water.

After finishing his night job, Tim was watching Stephen, and when his phone rang, he realised someone was watching him. Stephen hurried out of the area, but he never saw who was spying on him.

ITV, however, has published teaser photographs that depict the scene in which Stephen tries to strangle the taxi driver. Will Tim expose him before he can claim yet another victim?

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. on ITV1 and ITVX are when Coronation Street airs.
