As Denise Fox (Diane Parish and Scott Maslen) prepares to tell her husband everything about her affair in recent scenes, it seemed as if everything is going to fall apart for her and Jack Branning.
The pair had realised that Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) was not acting quite right.
She was caught trying to take wine from Peggy’s last week, and more recently, she claimed that she was sick and couldn’t go to school.
Her actions alarmed her father. Unaware that Denise’s actions had initially upset Amy, Jack urged Denise to speak with her stepdaughter.
After hearing from Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) about messages on their phones, Amy just learned about Denise’s romance with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
Denise searched the girl’s bedroom after the kid refused to engage in conversation with her and Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) revealed that she could smell alcohol on her.
This enraged Amy, who accidentally revealed that she was aware of Denise and Ravi, completely shocking Denise.
Denise revealed that they had only kissed once, during a difficult time for her and Jack. This was done to demonstrate that it was Jack she really loved.
Thereafter, Amy and Denise had a tense meal while harbouring a dark secret.
Denise felt a little comforted when Amy attempted to explain and said that she didn’t intend to inform Jack about her treachery.
But soon long, Denise saw that a bottle of wine was missing, so she went upstairs to confront Amy.
Denise felt she couldn’t keep this a secret any longer when she saw Amy unconscious with the empty bottle next to her since it was obviously having an adverse effect on her already precarious mental state.
Jack thought it was his chance to approach Amy when Denise revealed that she had been drinking once again, but Denise halted him in his tracks.
Jack was completely taken aback when she said that Amy had resumed drinking because she had learned something about Denise.
