Since departing from the serial opera Emmerdale two years ago, former Emmerdale actor Danny Miller has revealed a new project.

In a video posted to Instagram, Danny, who portrayed the beloved character Aaron Dingle for almost 20 years, introduced his new audiobook endeavor.

Danny explained in the video that his young son Albert’s passion of reading motivated him to begin producing his own audiobooks for other parents and kids to enjoy.

The video’s title read: “SUMMER HOLIDAYS ANNOUNCEMENT!! I’m excited to finally announce the publication of ALBERT’S BOOKSHELF with @nigewingmanclucas!

Additionally, he portrayed the title character in the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk at the Bradford Theatre. In September of last year, he made a brief comeback to Emmerdale as Aaron Dingle in honor of the soap opera’s 50th anniversary.

After giving birth to Albert in October 2021, Danny and his wife Steph are now expecting their second child.

Please watch the video to learn more about the motivation behind the release of our own audiobooks of some of Albert’s favorite novels read by his father. If you’re fortunate enough to have a child that enjoys reading as much as Albert does, this may be an opportunity for you to simply relax with them while they use their imagination.

What started as a birthday gift for Albert has evolved into a project that both @nigewingmanclucas and I are proud enough to share with you. Watch till the end, and any constructive (keyword) criticism is welcome in the comments. We want to record more, so we will always choose the wise ones and do our best to adjust as we go along in this wonderful world of children and development.

Since leaving the soap opera, Danny has won I’m A Celebrity 2021 and launched a YouTube channel with his wife Steph Jones where they share weekly vlogs of their lives with their son Albert and dogs Gini and Kenny.
