In Emmerdale, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) has found herself in the thick of Paddy Kirk’s (Dominic Brunt), Mary’s (Louise Jameson), and Marlon Dingle’s (Mark Charnock) anxieties.

Mary, Marlon, and Paddy have all spoken about something on their minds that has been disturbing them over the previous week.

After the incident with Faye, Mary was looking forward to entering the dating scene once again. After lying to her family about going on a date, Mary was later discovered by Paddy on a rural road. Paddy overheard Mary describe how being vulnerable with Faye, her first lover after coming out, and then having their relationship end shattered her.

Marlon has received attention for his post-stroke ability to operate a specially modified vehicle. Marlon has been dreading getting behind the wheel once again, confessing to individuals like Rhona and Mary that he could have another stroke while driving, increasing the likelihood of endangering other people.

In addition, Paddy confided in Mary about the death of his infant daughter Grace. He said that after attempting suicide, the only thing he hasn’t done is go to Grace’s burial, since she passed on the day after her birth. He avoided going to the cemetery because he was afraid of being overwhelmed by the feelings it might elicit in him.

Rhona is the only one who hasn’t encountered anything terrifying; instead, she’s served as a rock for her friends and family.

Being the kind person that she is, Rhona was also sensitive to Mary, Marlon, and Paddy’s feelings, which began to affect her tonight.

She informed the group at the bar that starting the next day, they would no longer use the “fake it until you make it” strategy and would instead confront their anxieties.
