In Emmerdale, things are going well for Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) and Chloe (Jessie Elland), particularly now that their decision to have Reuben christened has brought them closer together. What a better moment to derail their relationship than now.
There will be a significant impact from this one.
Even though they’ve decided to have the baby’s baptism, Chloe is still concerned about finding godparents for her son. However, when Moira (Natalie J. Robb), Matty (Ash Palmisciano), and Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) are found, everything seems to fall into place.
But there’s a problem—the venue cancels, and Chloe is left in a panic. In a somber gesture, Charity (Emma Atkins) hands them the Woolpack, but Chloe snorts in her face. But when they realize that it is indeed their only choice and that Charity is sincere, Mack is compelled to crouch down and beg her for permission to accept her offer.
When Mack comes over, the conversation becomes passionate, and the two do the most ridiculous thing you can think of, they give in to their forbidden emotions, and before they realize it, their clothes are all over the floor.
We’ll just say it’s doubtful they were cautious given the haste.
Mack has since taken action. He makes a quick exit, leaving Charity to wonder whether their spontaneous sex had any significance. For Mack, it most definitely does not, and when Chloe is kind to him, he is overcome with remorse. The issue is that Charity has a mouth on her, so this secret won’t be kept a secret for very long.
Mack, who is afraid, goes to Butlers to ask Moira for guidance. Moira smacks him in the face with reality and tells him that if Chloe finds out, he will lose Reuben, therefore he must immediately get his act together. He has to decide who he wants and then take the necessary steps to make it so.
But if Charity tells Chas (Lucy Pargeter) that she has slept with Mack, the choice may already be made for him. Will Chas inform Chloe of the wonderful news? Or will Charity schedule her own baptism in a few months, and Chloe learn the truth then?
