In Emmerdale, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) has been finding it difficult to accept life without baby Ivy. She is about to have another devastating revelation that will completely upend her.

All of this started when Rhona’s former spouse, Gus Malcolms (Alan McKenna), reappeared in her life and inquired about using the embryos that he and Rhona had frozen prior to their divorce.

Even when Rhona refused, Gus stole her passport and proceeded to use the embryos without telling Rhona until Lucy was only a few weeks away from giving birth.

Gus was devastated when Lucy unexpectedly passed away from complications after going into labor with baby Ivy.

Since Ivy was her biological child, Rhona took her in since the new father was unfit to care for a child.

But Rhona didn’t have any official claim to baby Ivy, so eventually, she would have to give her back.

Things took a drastic turn when Rhona abducted her daughter after finding that Gus intended to move her to France. As Rhona became closer to her daughter, it became evident that she didn’t want to give her up.

Rhona has made the decision to file for custody now that Ivy has been returned to Gus safely, but the pending kidnapping allegation has proven to be a significant barrier.

In order to support a not guilty finding, Gus had agreed to modify his testimony in recent scenes; nevertheless, Rhona was horrified to discover that he had been lying to her.

She is even more devastated in later scenes when Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) discovers images of Ivy on Gus’ social media accounts.

Rhona starts to cry as she looks at the pictures because she is so eager to see her child.

Karen Blick’s character Lydia Dingle subsequently bullies her into planning a Dingle birthday celebration for Marlon Dingle’s (Mark Charnock) 50th birthday, despite her obvious sorrow.

Does Rhona make it or breaks it?
