General Hospital Recap: Tuesday, September 26 – Gladys’ Escape Derailed – Sam’s Trick Works – Victor Controlling Charlotte

Tuesday, September 26’s General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap shows that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) informed Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) about someone going against his instructions and pursuing Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Even though Sonny felt like he was losing his composure recently, he reassured Anna that he wasn’t giving up.

That made Anna realize that she, too, wasn’t prepared to let up, so she acknowledged that they would need to continue battling and pondered, in secret, what more Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) had to offer.

Since decorating wasn’t exactly Anna’s style, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) believed she didn’t help.

Valentin inquired about Charlotte’s feelings towards Anna coming in after pointing out that she needed a place to live since her home burnt down.

Although Charlotte maintained she would follow Valentin’s wishes, she upset him by taking out a tarot card deck to seek advice.

Charlotte said she acquired them from a girl at camp, but Valentin seemed doubtful and remembered unsettling things about Anna.

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) was the sender of the tarot card deck and the letter writer, as Charlotte’s flashback revealed.

The message asked Charlotte to utilize the tarot cards as a potent tool for guidance and warned her not to trust Anna.

When Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) brought Jake Webber (Hudson West) to his office back at the hospital, Jake seemed ashamed of himself for sobbing over Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) situation.

Finn said that he didn’t believe there was any guilt in it since he just heard some painful information concerning someone he loved and sobbed.

As Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) listened in, Jake confided in Finn about how he felt like everyone he cared about had abandoned him. Liz was moved by Finn’s support as he stated he was there for Jake.

Jake didn’t want to just sit around doing nothing, so Liz led him to the chapel where he could light a candle, offer up a prayer, and think about Drew in a hopeful manner.

Finn also ran with Anna, who shared that he had phoned her a few times after learning of her trauma.

Finn wanted Anna to remember that she had him as a friend even if he knew she had other people she could trust.

In the meanwhile, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) lost it over Ava Jerome (Maura West) and held her accountable for Drew’s wounds, believing Ava had to have alerted Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) to Sonny’s plot.

Carly said Drew was too intelligent to be careless, acting as if Ava was the only reason Drew’s scheme to get information for Sonny could have come to light.

Ava said that it wasn’t her fault that Drew was in Pentonville and denied ever telling Austin anything.

As Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) remained close by, Carly questioned what it was meant to signify and continued to lash out at Ava.

At some point, Sonny cut Carly off and told her he was certain Ava hadn’t revealed any information.

Upon learning that Drew’s operation went well and that he would fully recover, Carly composed herself and apologized to Ava. Along with sharing a sweet moment with Sonny, Carly thanked him for being there for her.

Jake embraced his mother with relief when Liz told him the positive news regarding Drew’s health as they were back in the GH church.

Josh Kelly’s character, Cody Bell, turned himself in at the PCPD, and Josh Swickard’s character, Harrison Chase, put him under arrest.

Given that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) seemed to know more than he was revealing and that he preferred to question Cody by alone, Chase was skeptical.

Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) was shocked to see Cody was by himself when she came and wanted explanations about Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) location.

Gladys bragged about the scary abductor of Sasha, which made Cody angry since Gladys was the one who was dangerous!

In private, Cody expressed his excitement to Dante about testifying against Gladys and locking her up, but Dante threatened to send Cody to jail unless they could show that she was collaborating with Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder).

While in the cabin, Sam hinted that Cody believed she was worth it, while Sasha was in awe of his risking everything to keep her safe.

When Sam received a text alerting her to the next stage of the plan, she called Gladys and pretended to be someone else with an accent.

Sam purported to be phoning regarding the DA’s office demand for all of Sasha’s financial records, which were due to be turned over today, which startled Gladys.

A little while later, Gladys hurried home and was attempting to quickly pack a bag when someone knocked on the door.

As Gladys opened it, Sasha was standing there looking furious.
