Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) in Coronation Street learns that not only is his real mother alive, but she too faces a heroin addiction, and Abi Webster (Sally Carman) is there to provide help.

A few weeks before, Cassie (Claire Sweeney), who had just arrived, overdosed on narcotics and wound up in the hospital. When her mother, Evelyn (Maureen Lipman), saw her, she was upset and told her she had no right to visit Tyrone since doing so would only destroy his life.

Evelyn made the decision to leave the cobblestones in order to assist Cassie in getting to a recovery facility. They make a comeback in following episodes, but this time they rent an apartment near the precinct to isolate themselves from Tyrone and the family.

There, Evelyn receives a message from Ty informing her that the girls are hosting the event today and would appreciate her support.

Evelyn comes to the conclusion that she cannot leave Cassie, but her daughter is able to convince Evelyn to allow her to go get a coffee since she has been sober for weeks.

The planned trip to fetch coffee is a ruse because as Cassie enters the Bistro, Tyrone recognizes her as Cath, James’ friend, and asks whether she has heard from Evelyn.

The moment Cassie says she is Tyrone’s mother, an exhausted Evelyn dashes inside the Bistro!

Tyrone expresses his emotions to Kev (Michael Le Vell) and Abi as the aftermath plays out.

Abi, who herself formerly struggled with drug addiction, counsels him to consider his decision carefully before bringing a sober drug user into the lives of the daughters.

What will Ty decide to do when he walks over to the precinct flat?
