Future Coronation Street episodes are full of confusion and misunderstandings as Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott)’s internet activities begin to raise questions.
Since the horrifying acid assault that severely damaged his face, Ryan has struggled with his body image. He began posting pictures of himself online in an attempt to regain control, and he has been using steroids to try to modify the way he looks.
He set up a profile on O-Vidz, a website similar to OnlyFans where subscribers may see video that is often sexual or personal.
Ryan Prescott explained to us how the stuff he posts often changes.
“You have to start with more sexual images, incentive pictures, and the more people that come into that world hooked by those pictures the more broader your audience becomes, and with the broadening of your audience, they ask for different things,” he said. “You have to go above and beyond these typical fitness shots.”
“He had a one-on-one live session within a week of posting incentive pictures.” Sending images and him doing a one-on-one, live, interactive session are likely separated by a week. He is rapidly engulfed by it, and as the money begins flowing in, he becomes addicted.
In soon-to-air episodes, Ryan begins a new position in the Underworld packing department, but it doesn’t take long for him to get a message from O-Vidz requesting for a private video. Ryan immediately uses the lavatory and sends some naked images, but when the buyer offers to pay £500 for a live video, Ryan can’t refuse the cash.
He consents to accept the client’s call and engage in some explicit conversation. Peter (Chris Gascoyne) overhears this and suspects Ryan is engaging in phone sex. As a result, he tells Carla (Alison King) about it.
When Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) hears Peter and Carla talking, she becomes alarmed and worries about what Ryan is getting into.
She confronts him about what’s going on. Will her tell her the truth?
