Feeling a little silly, Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) ends himself getting mixed up in Stephen Reid’s (Todd Boyce) last week on Coronation Street.

Stephen returned to Underworld shortly after deciding to go to Thailand in an attempt to embezzle further funds from the company.

In order to move the money to a fictitious bank account, Stephen was able to trick Michael into granting him access to Underworld’s bank account. After Michael offered assistance, Carla (Alison King) found out and became enraged that Michael had fallen for Stephen’s ruse.

The businessman was run over by Peter (Chris Gascoyne), ending his reign of terror. Even though Stephen is no longer alive, he still causes problems for the people of Weatherfield, and Michael is at the top of the list.

Next, Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) is anxiously watching the races after betting £1k on a horse. When the horse prevails, Ed hides the money from Michael and Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) in the hallway by stuffing it in a bag.

Subsequently, Michael takes hold of the bag without realizing what’s inside and leaves for Underworld in an attempt to regain his job.

But when DS Swain (Vicky Myers) shows up and requests to speak with him regarding the money Stephen stole, he’s taken aback.

After responding to DS Swain’s inquiries, Michael opens his luggage and is shocked to see a sizable amount of cash.

Ed is appalled to witness Michael being driven away in a police vehicle after DS Swain counts the money, since he may have conspired with Stephen to swindle Underworld.

Will Ed, however, come clean so Michael won’t have to serve time in jail?
