With a joke posted to his Instagram account, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall discussed being alone three months after splitting with actress Tisha Merry.

The actress, who played waitress Steph Britton on Coronation Street for five years from 2013 to 2018, and the Tyrone Dobbs actor first connected on the set. They started dating soon after Steph Britton left the ITV serial opera. In February, they declared their separation after a five-year relationship.
This Sunday, May 26, three months after their breakup, Alan posted a photo of himself and his daughter Sienna-Rae on his Instagram account. Later, the 10-year-old formed a relationship with a dog, but the rambunctious canine soon attempted to hump her well-known father, which prompted the 41-year-old soap actor to joke about being a single person.
Alan posted a cheeky picture of himself with his new buddy and captioned it with the face-in-hand emoji, saying, “Apparently we’re not best friends.” I’ve got the most activity in a long time, ffs fml.” Following that, he shared another photo of himself with the puppy with the caption, “New Tinder profile picture,” suggesting that he could be getting back into the dating game.
According to a close source, Alan and Tisha broke up because “the pressure got to them”. At the time, the source told The Sun, “Alan and Tisha had a lot of love for each other and had really similar interests, enjoying socialising and going on holiday together.”
However, they began to drift apart and were overwhelmed by the responsibility to keep their love going. When they found they weren’t in agreement, they decided to part ways.
Since then, rumours have circulated that the stars are “focusing on themselves” and encircling “their own friends.” Tisha further “moved out of Alan’s home around a month ago and is throwing herself into work.”
After marrying Hollyoaks actress Lucy-Jo Hudson in 2009, Alan, who has been playing Weatherfield mechanic in Corrie for more than 20 years, had a daughter named Sienna-Rae with her.
Alan had to leave I’m A Celebrity before he separated with Tisha due to a severe knee injury that required extensive repair surgery. “Surgical ACL reconstruction. Well, I had ACL reconstructive surgery on Friday. Alan said on Instagram, “I’ve been told the surgery went really well,” with a picture of himself recovering from surgery and lying in bed with his thumbs up.
“I know I have a long 9-12 months of rehabilitation ahead of me but I’m sure with the support of family & friends I’ll get there” , he said. Since then, he has been predicted to appear in the new reality programme series.
