Chris Fountain of Coronation Street has talked openly about the adjustments he went through after having a stroke.

The actor had a Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA) the previous year. He is best known for playing Tommy Duckworth in the ITV serial opera.

Chris called 111 after waking up one morning in August unable to speak clearly, and he was informed that he had experienced a transient ischemic attack, sometimes known as a mini-stroke, due to brain clotting.

Chris has been thinking back on the incident and how much his body has altered in the year since it happened.

Chris posted a photo of himself in the hospital and captioned it, “1 year ago today. I’ve had to make a lot of adjustments, but things have gotten significantly better. Life can change in an instant. Live your life to the fullest and never give up, no matter how difficult things seem.

In addition to sharing a video with his followers and saying that the stroke had left him “speaking like a toddler,” Chris had previously admitted that the condition had left him “speaking like a toddler.” I have a part of me that worries about whether I will have another one today. However, a part of me is also really pleased of how I’ve managed to recuperate. I’ve completed a marathon and am now physically fit again, and my speech is almost back to normal.

“This year has been interesting.” I just wanted to take this chance to express my gratitude to everyone who has been encouraging, who has offered me guidance, and who has offered me good words. I was in a hospital bed at this time last year, wondering what the heck was going on, and today I’m feeling terrific.

After it was discovered that Chris was involved with a masked rapper utilizing lines from a rap video, he was fired from his job in Coronation Street.

The no longer accessible YouTube videos showed Fountain dressed as his violent rap alter ego “The Phantom” for Halloween, with lyrics like “rape a bitch on her birthday.”

The actor has already discussed how his mental health was affected by losing that job.

On the Learning As I Go podcast with Scott Thomas, he said: “That one week in August 2013 just blew my entire life apart.”

“Everything I had built for my career just came tumbling down,” I said.

And that marked the beginning of a serious decline in my mental well-being and confidence.

‘Chris Fountain’s contract with ITV has been terminated as a result of the reprehensible statements he made in a number of internet video,’ an ITV representative stated at the time.
