This week, fans of Coronation Street saw the affair between Tracy Barlow and Tommy Orpington come to light.

Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) of Coronation Street seems to be headed for disaster. Fans of the ITV soap opera have been seen the former Weatherfield football player become fond of Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) over the last several weeks.

Before long, the two were having a passionate relationship behind her husband Steve McDonald’s (Simon Gregson) back. But when Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) told his closest buddy everything, the truth was eventually exposed this week.

It was obvious Tracy intended to destroy their relationship completely as she relished the excitement of her covert meeting with Tommy when he approached her and suggested they work on their marriage. Despite the fact that Tommy has been given a position in Spain, their relationship could not last long.

Is Tommy in danger because Tracy doesn’t know her loverboy may be running from the cobbles and making a mockery of her? That wouldn’t be the first time she took a man’s life in retaliation; in 2007, she killed her lover Charlie Stubbs (Bill Ward) when he cheated on her.

When Steve chatted with his closest buddy Tim on Monday night’s show, he somewhat embellished the details of his discussion with Tracy.

Steve lied and said that he dissolved their marriage, not her, while implying that she was the one pleading with him to mend it.
