Coronation Street’s Jane Danson shares love as soap star husband returns to Emmerdale

Jane Danson of Coronation Street has expressed her joy at her husband Robert Beck’s decision to rejoin Emmerdale.

Robert is well known for his 1999 role as Bernice’s (Samantha Giles) ex-boyfriend, Gavin Ferris.

Robert won’t be reprising his role as Gavin, though, while he’s in the Dale.

In scenes that will show this week, the actor will play a deadly criminal named Harry who is Corey’s friend and does business with Cain Dingle.

Corey is recognized by Nate (Jurell Carter), who recognizes him from school and ends up begging him for a job since he needs money badly.

Nate then learns Caleb (William Ash) is a silent investor in the company concept as things start to go along. He offers Nate job if he keeps quiet about his connection, which causes problematic Harry to show up.

Robert Beck expressed his excitement about his new part by saying, “I’m happy to be working on Emmerdale again. It’s a terrific show that I have followed for years, with a fabulous cast. It’s had a particular place in my heart ever since.

I had a great time working on the program 24 years ago when I played Gavin Ferris. I have a lot to thank Emmerdale for since the cast and crew were extremely hospitable and because of that work, I met my wife.

I’m eager to participate and collaborate with this fantastic group once more.

Prior to Robert’s homecoming, Jane, who portrays Leanne Battersby in Corrie, sent a heartfelt message on her Instagram to welcome him back.

She responded, “Happy birthday my sweetie @robertbeck529. “And congratulations on your return to @emmerdale — I owe Emmerdale a lot — 24 years of us.”

Jane and Robert originally connected at the 1999 first British Soap Awards, and they later were hitched in December 2005 at the Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Lancashire.
Sam, 14, and Harry, 21, are the couple’s two kids.

Robert is also well-known for his performances in the television series Coronation Street, Brookside, and most recently Hollyoaks, where his character, Fergus Collins, perished after being killed by Trish Minniver (Denise Welch), played by Robert.
