Coronation Street’s Roy Cropper ‘set to be’ jailed in grim vanishing story as huge conclusion is jumped to

Concerns over Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance are causing people on Coronation Street to believe that the good-hearted Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is ready to make a grave error.

Lauren informed Roy a few weeks ago that she was leaving Weatherfield to start over after she was fired from the cafe. Upon visiting Lauren’s apartment later that day, buddy Bobby (Jack Carroll) was alarmed to discover it was empty.

Following his conversation with the police over Lauren’s disappearance and his observation of bruising on her arm, Bobby takes the next step and promptly files an appeal with Suki from the Gazette in the hopes that it will aid in Lauren’s recovery.

Bobby is disappointed by Roy’s lackluster appeal during Suki’s interview.

Later, Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) tells Roy that Lauren had to vacate her apartment after the landlord found out that she had been renting it out on a short-term basis.

Roy assures Evelyn, holding onto hope, that Lauren has probably moved on from Weatherfield to start a new life and that everything will be OK.

During the week, Roy decides to let himself in and begins cleaning Lauren’s apartment after learning that Evelyn will be charged for the mess she left behind. He doesn’t realize that this considerate act may turn into something he regrets.

Bobby, a stranger who has hardly met Roy, shows up and finds him going through Lauren’s belongings, which makes him quite suspicious.

Back at home, Bobby informs Ryan (Ryan Prescott) and Carla (Alison King) that he is meeting them to learn more after someone named DirtyNigel54 from the site OVidz posted online that they have seen Lauren.

But Bobby, where will this lead?

Roy’s naïve decision to become engaged in her life may out to be a grave error as the young woman’s anxieties grow.

The cherished café owner has been obliged to appear in court in previous photos as part of an impending storyline; however, may this have anything to do with Lauren?

When Lauren doesn’t show up in a few weeks, will Roy be considered a potential suspect in the event that an inquiry is opened?
