Sally Dynevor, a former co-star on Coronation Street, was seen expressing her affection for her former co-star on a special occasion. The actress sent Brooke Vincent a series of messages on social media.

While Brooke spent years portraying her on-screen daughter Sophie Webster, Sally gained notoriety for her role as Sally Metcalfe, née Webster, in the ITV serial opera. Sally is a regular on the street, but Brooke hasn’t been seen since she left for maternity leave in 2019 to give birth to her first child.

But even though they are no longer coworkers, their friendship endures. With the help of some of her old castmates, Brooke made her comeback to her hometown last month when she took on her first-ever stage role in The Syndicate, a play by the late Kay Mellor based on the BBC series of the same name.

Ryan Thomas and the iconic Corrie Barbara Knox were among those who went to witness her at The Lowry and Sally was also spotted posing for a photo with Brooke on the night itself and said: “Love you @brookelevivincent. Excellent work!”

Now, as Brooke celebrated her 32nd birthday on Tuesday, June 4, Sally has paid homage to her. The 61-year-old posted a photo of Brooke’s original cast card from her time as Sophie in Corrie on Instagram. “Happy birthday to my youngest on-screen daughter @brookelevivincent,” she tweeted.

She added, “Love you so much and so proud of you,” and held a string of red love hearts in her hand. A photo from their most recent reunion was included in a follow-up post that she later published.

Sally also wished her admirers and followers a happy birthday, saying, “Darling, happy birthday.” I hope you have an amazing day. @brookelevivincent, I adore you.”

In the meanwhile, Sally will be back on Loose Women on Wednesday, June 5. A few weeks ago, she was a panellist on the ITV lunchtime programme with Linda Robson, Brenda Edwards, and Charlene White, who are the usual hosts.

Following the event, Sally posted a photo of the ladies on social media with the caption, “Thank you @loosewomen for having me on the show, and making me feel so welcome.”

“You look lovely, Sal,” said Sally Carman-Dutinne, co-star of Corrie, in response to the image. Fans were also quick to reply in the comments section. The other said: “Hope you’re on more often Sally really loved you being on the show” . “Watched because you were on Sally; you were lovely,” another person said.
