EastEnders spoilers: Linda makes dig at Whitney over her controversial affair with Mick

While the most of us have made an effort to forget about the contentious relationship between Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) from EastEnders, there is one person who just cannot forget about it: the scorned Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).

Six years after the betrayal, the landlady stumbled across the ideal occasion to poke yet more fun at her ex-husband’s side business when she overheard a conversation between Whitney and Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) at the café.

After an argument with Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), newbie Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) made a pass on Whitney’s boyfriend Zack Hudson (James Farrar).

Elaine got into trouble with Whitney because she mistook Gina’s infatuation on Zack for a like for Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier), who was available.

Whitney was enraged when Bernie advised her to quit moping about the fact that Gina had made a pass on her partner after she couldn’t understand why Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) sending Bernie a friend request on social media was a big deal.

As Whitney yelled at Bernie, Linda couldn’t help but defend Gina with her own clever jab.

Gina reminded Whitney that she was “not the first woman to make a move on someone else’s man,” and advised her to be kind with the newbie.

She was obviously alluding to Whitney’s contentious 2017 relationship with Mick Carter, Linda’s childhood boyfriend, which at the time caused quite a commotion among Milinda fans.

Whitney’s boyfriend Zack cautioned her not to respond negatively to Linda’s statement while obviously trying not to laugh himself.

Bernie was pleased by Linda’s advocacy of Gina, but she ultimately caused trouble by bringing up drinking to the alcoholic in recovery.

But Linda’s notion to celebrate her way through the awkward phase was inspired by Bernie, and she decided to plan a pampering session for her new stepsisters.

Will there be reconciliation or will these women still be at one other’s throats?
