Following an altercation with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) in EastEnders, Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) and Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) are harbouring their own “little secret.”
The 12-year-old girl was devastated when her mother Stacey informed her that the trainers she wanted for her birthday were out of her price range due to their high cost.
Theo made the decision to intervene after hearing about Lily’s disappointment from ex-student Freddie (Bobby Brazier), and he asked a buddy who worked in a sports store for assistance.
The trainers Lily had requested were eventually acquired by him, and after giving them to her as an early birthday present, he left Stacey less than impressed.
Furious They weren’t a charity case, Stacey argued, and they didn’t require assistance.
Stacey admitted that it wasn’t about the money; rather, it was the principle, and Theo reassured her that they had been inexpensive.
She ordered him to leave since it wouldn’t be fair to her other children, who would also miss out on expensive birthday presents.
Stacey was horrified when Lily called her mother “unreasonable” and “a cow.”
Later, Theo came over and apologised for making difficulty while Lily was removing the trash.
He said that since the trainers wouldn’t refund his money, she may as well keep them.
Lily was tempted, but she refused the offer since she knew Stacey would murder her.
Theo insisted that she keep them, saying that she wouldn’t have broken any laws if she simply happened to find them in the trash bin after he had thrown them away.
Before letting Lily make her choice, he assured her that it would be their little secret.
Lily, intrigued by his scheme, grabbed the trainers and brought them inside, following Theo’s advice.
