In EastEnders, Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) has grown to have a disturbing fascination with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), and his actions are becoming more and more worrisome as time passes.

Theo never seems to be away from the Slater home for very long, whether it’s to instruct Lily Slater (Lillia Turner), support Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) as he deals with his ADHD diagnosis, or just to stay for tea.

He’s been paying for private video conversations with her since she decided to deactivate her Secret Cam account, where she was selling pictures of herself online, but Stacey and the other Slaters are unaware of this.

Theo recently showed up for a tutoring session with Lily, but it was immediately apparent that he wasn’t interested in talking about Lord of the Flies.

Theo asked Lily whether she found it tough to continue studying when many of her friends were on summer vacation while she was hard at work on an essay.

Even Stacey was out, he noted, before joking that this would not be uncommon since she must have a dozen admirers waiting in line.

Lily shifted his focus back to her article, obviously uneasy with the course of the discussion.

That, nevertheless, wasn’t sustained for long since Stacey’s return from her date with Martin Fowler (James Bye) brought up yet another round of interrogation.

He questioned the 12-year-old about Stacey and Martin’s relationship and paid close attention to her response that they would reunite and “act like a pair of gooey teenagers” every few years.

The unsettling instructor persisted in questioning Stacey while toying with the crimson nightgown she was wearing during her video conversations with Theo and that was drying on a clothes horse.

He emphasized that Lily’s troubled relationship with Martin must be tough for Lily and Stacey, but just as he recommended that Lily talk to him about it, Stacey came back and cut them off.

Their day of research was quickly put to a stop by her, who insisted that he must have more important things to do.

She said that she would be going to the Queen Vic as he was getting ready to go, and soon Theo was making his own way there.

However, Martin got into a fight after drinking, fully diverting Stacey’s focus from whatever he was planning.

What is it about Martin and Stacey’s connection that has Theo so fixated?

How much would he be willing to sacrifice to have her all to himself if he really wanted her to be his alone?
