Luke Roskell, who made his soap opera debut more than ten years ago, is quite different from Sean Spencer these days.

The actor became well-known for his three-year role as Sean, the elder brother of Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) in the ITV serial opera.

The character, who appeared from 2011 to 2014, was significant to many stories during that period and was romantically involved with Gemma Andrews (Tendai Rinomhota) and Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

The story eventually descended into a love triangle as Sean was constantly torn between Belle and Gemma and wondered who he really loved.

2014 saw Luke step down from the Sean post.

He said at the time, “I have had an amazing three years on Emmerdale and I will miss everyone loads.”

“I am eager to see what the future has in store and I wanted to investigate other options.”

Luke has been in Sky One’s Jamestown and the BBC One drama The A-Word since leaving Emmerdale.

The actor often posts on social media to display his change, and he is now quite different from his Dales counterpart.

Meanwhile, Emmerdale never fails to excite viewers. The long-running soap opera had a huge week last week, revealing the great secret of newbie Ella Forster (Paula Lane).

These days, Luke and Sean are quite different (Photo: Lukeroskell on Instagram).

It came out that Ella, the focus of a lot of fan conjecture, murdered her closest friend when she was eleven years old and spent time in jail as a consequence.

The locals found it difficult to understand, and as a consequence, Ella became the public’s number one opponent.

Weeknights at 7:30 p.m., ITV1 and ITVX broadcast Emmerdale.
