Mom Kay Mellor’s touring production of The Syndicate is being directed and acted in by Gaynor Faye.
A beloved character from Emmerdale is getting back together with a former co-star for an exciting new project that also involves her kid.
As previously announced, Gaynor Faye, who portrayed Megan Macey in Emmerdale, will serve as the director of The Syndicate’s next theatrical tour. This performance, which became well-known on BBC1, will be Kay Mellor’s last theatrical play.
In 2022, Kay Mellor passed away at the age of 71. “It is extremely special to be a part of this new theatrical version of The Syndicate, one that my mum was really excited to stage,” Gaynor Faye, the daughter, stated.
Oliver Anthony, Gaynor’s son, has also joined the cast. Alongside Brooke Vincent from Coronation Street, Samantha Giles, Gaynor’s old coworker from Emmerdale, is a star in the touring production of The Syndicate. “I’m excited to be joining Brooke Vincent, Samantha Giles, and the rest of this amazing cast on stage,” Gaynor declared. For a lot of reasons, The Syndicate is very dear to my heart, therefore it makes sense that Oliver has joined the firm, making this project truly a family affair. He will be a fantastic addition to the cast, I’m sure of it.
Oliver Anthony stated: “I’m thrilled to be making my stage acting debut alongside my mum in my grandmother’s final play. I worked with my grandmother, playing the role of Jamie, in the play’s development workshops and have acted in series four of The Syndicate TV show.” I’m really excited to get into Jamie’s role and hopefully do her proud because this production is in honor of her and everything she accomplished.
