Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) realized he’d made a terrible mistake when he struck pervert Lloyd Sawyer (Matt Sutton) in Emmerdale. When Lloyd became unconscious, it was evident that he had suffered significant injuries, and he has been in a coma since.

Although Dan claimed he attacked Lloyd in self-defense, the fact was that he became enraged after witnessing Lloyd with Amelia (Daisy Campbell). Lloyd had harassed Amelia both online and in person after discovering her online cosmetics instructions. He’d scared her by showing up at the salon, and when Dan challenged him about it, Lloyd pushed back.

With Dan facing jail for what he did, both he and Amelia are under a lot of strain. She feels terrible for bringing Lloyd into their life, and she is further shocked in following episodes when she receives a visit from Lloyd’s wife Julie (Emma Stansfield), who informs her that Lloyd will never recover from his injuries and that Julie is determined to hold the Spencers accountable for what occurred.

‘She is in a bad mood. She believes it is all her fault. Would this have occurred if she hadn’t begun this social media thing?’ Daisy Campbell informed us. ‘That’s what’s on her mind. Dan has obviously gone above and above for Amelia and Esther. She’s completely out of her mind.’

Sarah (Katie Hill) offers her company and support, and Sarah comes up with an idea. She argues that if Amelia told the police that Lloyd attacked her, the court would be more sympathetic to Dan’s case.

Although Sarah realizes it’s a poor idea, Amelia is certain it’s the only way she can assist her father and prepares to submit a statement to the police.

Sarah informs Dan and Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) about Amelia’s plans, and they rush to the police station, hoping to arrive before Amelia makes a terrible mistake by lying to the cops.

Will they be able to reach her in time?

‘Lying is not at all like Amelia,’ Daisy said.

‘Having said that, I believe she is afraid. Especially because we witness Amelia practicing with Sarah what she’s going to say, and she completely cracks and panics.

‘But in the back of her mind, all she can think about is helping her father get out of this situation he’s created, and I believe that’s what drives Amelia to do it. She can’t live without her father; he’s her rock, and it obviously enters her mind when she considers doing something to protect her father.’
