It has to be noted that Emmerdale’s Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is rather good with the ladies, so he’s definitely skilled at using a well-timed chat up line or two.
He’s also skilled at disarming and charming people with his clumsy clod act. However, in this instance, his spotting prowess may just help him land Ella’s job.
Liam is rather fond of Ella (Paula Lane), a recent arrival who has made waves in their surgery with her abilities as a receptionist. She has moved on from Chas (Lucy Pargeter) as she concentrates on her health.
Even though Ella has only recently moved to the area, she has already begun to make a lot of friends. At the vet gala, she struck up a good friendship with Mandy (Lisa Riley), and when Dawn (Olivia Bromley) was having trouble feeding baby Evan, she offered to help.
When Ella and GP Liam flirted directly in front of Wendy (Susan Cookson), she became aware of the sparks between them and moved away from Ella’s new friends. It turns out that their flirtation was genuine and not motivated by envy.
The two are growing closer because they have a common interest in houseplants. Liam hopes to obtain a close-up of her Fiddle Leaf Fig and show her his Snake Plant.
Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) finds it difficult since she worries that they are becoming too close.
The last time something similar occurred, Bob ended up suffering a heart attack.
It’s also not good for the surgery’s standing.
