Beginning in 2024, Beth Cordingly, a former star of The Bill, joins Emmerdale to play Ruby Fox-Milligan.
As village newcomer Ruby Fox-Milligan, Emmerdale rookie Beth Cordingly has generated a lot of controversy.
She joined as the illusive wife of Caleb Milligan. Ruby has shown herself to be fiery, self-assured, erratic, and an intensely loving mother.
Producer of Emmerdale Kate Brooks described Ruby as a “absolute force of nature who sweeps through the village with scores to settle” while speaking about the character. Ruby is fiercely devoted to her family and would stop at nothing to keep them safe.
Beth portrayed PC Kerry Young in The Bill earlier in her career. while also taking pleasure in other performing jobs on theatre and television.

Early career
Brighton was the birthplace of Beth Cordingly, who attended Brighton and Hove High School. She is David Cordingly’s daughter, a writer and historian.
Beth attended the University of Birmingham to further her studies in drama and English. She continued her acting training at London’s Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
Among other notable acting performances include an appearance in The Bill, as well as appearances in Doctors, Dead Set, and Funland. As everyone knows, soap opera country is a tiny place, and Beth relished her short stay on EastEnders. She played Debbie Morton, as you may recall, in 2017.
As we previously revealed, Beth Cordingly is involved in a “secret” relationship with another well-known soap opera actress. She is romantically involved with Ian Kelsey.
As some of you may remember, Ian portrayed Dave Glover between 1994 and 1997. Fans may also know Ian, 57, from his roles in Blue Murder and Doctors.
It’s reported that Ian and Beth met 20 years ago. They both married other individuals after that, however they have since split. They reconnected in 2021. In 2022, they celebrated their one year of marriage.
Speaking about her new position, Beth recently told The Mirror that Ian was “really supportive” of her decision to join Emmerdale. “There’s that thing about being an actor where you’re always taken away from home,” she said. Yet he fully understands it.”
She went on, “It’s great to be able to share what I’ve been up to, knowing he understands. He knows a lot of the crew and cast.” That’s crucial when you’re away, because he’s always curious about how each day of production is going.”
