Killer Stephen’s exit from Coronation Street confirmed as Todd Boyce lands next role

In what way will he depart? (Image: ITV)

Given that Todd Boyce’s next acting role has been revealed, Stephen Reid’s time on Coronation Street is definitely running short.

Following the death of Leo Thompkins in September of previous year, the character assumed the position of Weatherfield villain.

Stephen has since killed Rufus, a businessman, and Teddy, Leo’s father.

Stephen keeps making mistakes as the days go by, making others like Tim (Joe Duttine) and Peter (Chris Gascoyne) aware that he is not good news.

Todd Boyce just joined the Mother Goose company in a Derby Arena pantomime, so it seems that the truth won’t be known for long.

Since Todd will be playing Demon Vanity, there have been suggestions that he may leave the ITV serial opera shortly. It would be difficult to balance shooting in Manchester and giving a performance at the Derby Arena at the same time!

In the next weeks, Stephen’s life will continue to unravel when it is discovered that Leo’s bones are located on the construction site that Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) and Ronnie (Vinta Morgan) had purchased.

Police and residents of Corrie gathered along a canal in another set of scenes when another horrible discovery was made. It happens when Tim follows the elusive Stephen to the canal, where viewers are aware that he has hidden Teddy’s corpse.

Todd Boyce said us, “We are going to see him start taking risks.” His life is beginning to fall apart as he becomes increasingly desperate, so it will be fascinating to see how he handles the strain.

“He’s going to make mistakes eventually, and that might be the end of him.”

In other news, Chris Gascoyne, who starred with Todd, will also shortly bid adieu to the cobbles since he will be participating in a different pantomime play at the end of the year.

Derby Arena will host Mother Goose on Friday, December 8.
