Lucy Fallon breaks silence amid Coronation Street return as she celebrates with co-star

In light of rumors that she may be returning to the ITV soap, Lucy Fallon released an incredible flashback photo from Coronation Street.

In Corrie, the actress played Bethany Platt, and she left the show in 2020.

In the program, Bethany left the cobbles to work as an intern for a magazine in London, while Lucy the actress took a break to start a family and explore other endeavors.

The 27-year-old is reportedly returning to Weatherfield to film within the upcoming months, with her first episodes showing ‘after Christmas.

The door would always be left open for someone of her caliber and popularity, a source told The Sun at the time. “She was destined for big things and everyone was sad to see her go,” the source said.

“Bosses” contacted her a few weeks earlier with the prospect of returning and informed her of all their plans for Bethany if she accepted.

Lucy recently posted a vintage image of herself and Colson Smith from the program.

In the ITV soap opera, Colson portrays Craig Tinker, a close friend of Bethany’s who was there to support her when she was going through a troubling grooming plotline.

Craig and Bethany are shown in the photo cuddling on the couch at Chesney’s (Sam Aston) home.

In honor of Colson’s 25th birthday, Lucy wrote: “Happy Birthday can I have a hug,” echoing the Corrie photo’s caption, which also reads “Can I have a hug.”

And perhaps the fulfillment of Lucy’s request won’t take too long!

After leaving the program, Lucy devoted the majority of her time to raising her little son, Sonny Jude, whom she shares with boyfriend Ryan Ledson.
