Jenna Coleman, a former star of Doctor Who, Waterloo Road, and Emmerdale, has revealed she is expecting her first child. At a special occasion commemorating the inauguration of a new exhibition at Chatsworth House on June 19, 2024, the 38-year-old actress showed off her burgeoning baby belly.

The soon-to-be mother was seen wearing a gorgeous green and white floral dress while holding her growing baby belly. She looked wonderful and was fairly far along in her pregnancy. This comes after months of denying allegations that she had married 35-year-old Jamie Childs, the director of The Sandman, in which she has a major part.

Jenna from Netflix is often seen in recent photos wearing dark, baggy clothing and big outerwear. With no clues about her future pregnancy, Jenna Coleman from the upcoming crime thriller The Jetty was featured in brand-new photographs released by the BBC only last week.

Shot in and around Lancashire, the four-part BBC mystery explores identity, memory, grooming, age of consent, and sexual morality.

Having featured in some of the most watched series in the UK, Jenna is a well-known actress. She appears often on TV and in films, and the Mirror notes that she also adorns theatres including the West End.

In 2015, Coleman landed one of her most prominent parts in the eight-part drama series on ITV that followed Queen Victoria’s reign. The actor did a lot of study for the part even though she acknowledged that she wasn’t an expert in Victorian history.

Renowned actress Jenna Coleman spoke candidly on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour about how playing Queen Victoria broke the “box” that her Emmerdale character had placed her in as a working-class northerner.

In January 2023, she triumphantly returned to the West End stage, costarring with Aidan Turner in the production of Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons, a play written by Sam Steiner and published in 2015. The play began with a nine-week run at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London and ran through April with additional performances in Manchester and Brighton.

Coleman played Liv Taylor in the thriller Wilderness on Amazon Prime, which was adapted from B. E.

Jones’ book, which Oliver Jackson-Cohen also starred in. The show debuted on September 15, 2023, on Amazon Prime.

Coleman and Jackson-Cohen collaborated once again for the thriller Jackdaw, directed by Jamie Childs, where Coleman starred as Bo. In September 2023, the movie debuted at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas.

Discourse about Netflix’s The Sandman has surfaced, speculating that Jenna got to know director Jamie Childs, the father of her unborn kid, while working on the film. Later, the two collaborated again on Childs’ feature film debut, Jackdaw.

Regarding The Sandman’s much awaited second season, fans are unaware of when it will air.

A release date or duration for the series has not yet been announced by Netflix; this information was noticeably absent from the February 2024 Next on Netflix series preview, which revealed over 90 new and returning episodes and films. At this point, we expect the series to return to our screens by 2025 at the latest, but with the approaching birth of the couple’s child, this may not be definite.
